Transformation
Processes: Getting through the U
A practical Map for Facilitators, Change Agents and Trim Tabs
|
| |
 |
|
|
| Transformation
processes can range from simply changing a habit (for an individual)
to changing personal realities or shifting paradigm (for individuals
and groups). The U-shape is understood to be an archetypal universal
movement that each individual or group has to follow for transformations
from one reality to another, whether it be small or large scale. Otto
Scharmer describes it beautifully in his book, “Theory U“
(2009). Go

Research and Leadership
for Transformation in a
Changing
Climate
An Interactive Workshop
May 22-23, 2011
|
This workshop
will explore the complex yet significant relationships between personal
and systems transformations, including the role of scientists as
leaders of adaptive global change. It will engage
participants interactively to promote new thinking on transformation, and it
will launch a larger research initiative based on a constellation of centers
working within new and emerging paradigms for responding
to climate change. The workshop focuses on how to create transformative change,
from the personal to the systems scales, and how to identify cutting-edge research
that leads to measurable results.
Karen O'Brien: "I encourage everyone to attend Monica Sharma's
talk on "Climate Change Leadership for Transformation" from
13.15 to 14.00 at Georg Sverdrups hus, auditorium 1. Anne Caspari
and Jonathan Reams will be commenting on the talk, drawing on their
experience with leadership for sustainability and transformative leadership
and learning. "

know that
I am not a category,
I am not a thing — a noun. |

Remember, we are all
affecting the world every moment, whether we
mean to or not.
Our actions and states of mind matter, because we are so deeply interconnected
with one another.
Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that
we are doing at any
moment, and being
love is a supreme
creative
act.
